Established since 1982
Since 1982, Abundant Life Christian School has partnered with families who want their children to receive a Kindergarten through eighth grade education grounded in faith and rigorous academics. As a result, our students grow in both excellence and character.
In addition, our childcare center provides high-quality early childhood education and care for ages 2 months to 5 years. Today, families from Wilmington, Tewksbury, Burlington, Reading, Woburn, Haverhill, Methuen, Chelmsford, North Andover, Billerica, North Reading, Andover, and Salem, New Hampshire choose us to care for their precious children.

Learning Environments for Every Stage of Childhood
Life-long supporters of Christian education, former Pastor Everett Reed and his wife Carol, founded our school and childcare in 1982, together with the members of what was then First Baptist Church of Wilmington. At first, Abundant Life met in Wilmington’s Boutwell School building. Then, in 1995, an addition went up on the Church Street property, and Abundant Life settled into its current home along the Wilmington Town Common.
Since its founding, Abundant Life Christian School has offered education and childcare for families seeking a Christ-centered school experience. Today, our programs serve all ages, from infants as young as 8 weeks in our Childcare, through the elementary years, and on to 8th grade in middle school.

Academic Excellence
Students need skills and knowledge to thrive in a complex and uncertain world. That is why, at Abundant Life Christian School, our academic programs prepare each student for the next step in their educational journey. Of course, learning needs to be challenging, but it also needs to be engaging. So, our curriculum pushes students to achieve greatness and helps them build a growth mindset for lifelong learning.
In fact, the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) has granted our school foundational accreditation. This recognition shows that we meet institutional standards of quality and excellence. It also reflects our commitment to accountability and continued growth.
Personal
Students learn best when learning connects with their own experiences. For this reason, we encourage critical thinking in every classroom, whether it’s a hypothesis in science class, a paper in world history, or a tough question about faith.
In addition, we keep class sizes small on purpose. That way, teachers can respond to each child’s distinct abilities and learning styles while promoting healthy social interactions.
Community
At Abundant Life, we believe a relational God created us in His image. Therefore, living in community and sharing life with others is an essential part of our school experience. In short, our culture promotes fellowship. Here, students, faculty, staff, and parents come together to celebrate, have fun, and create lifelong memories. For example, you can see this at our Back-to-School Bash, Grandparents Day celebrations, Christmas Programs, Spring ArtsFest, and Field Day.
