About Abundant Life

Since 1982, Abundant Life Christian School has partnered with families that desire for their children to be given a Kindergarten to eighth grade education that is grounded in faith and rigorous academics, that produces students of excellence and character.

Our childcare center provides high-quality early childhood education and care for ages 2 months to 5 years. Families residing in the communities of Wilmington, Tewksbury, Burlington, Reading, Woburn, Haverhill, Methuen, Chelmsford, North Andover, Billerica, North Reading, Andover and Salem New Hampshire choose us to care for their precious children.

Our school and childcare was founded by life-long proponents of Christian education, former Pastor Everett Reed and his wife Carol, with the membership of the then named First Baptist Church of Wilmington in 1982. Abundant Life was originally located in Wilmington’s Boutwell School building. In 1995, an addition was built on to the property at Church Street and Abundant Life settled in at its current location along the Wilmington Town Common.

Since its founding, Abundant Life’s Christian School has offered educational programs and childcare for families seeking a Christ-centered school experience. Our programming has offerings for all ages, from 8 weeks young as an infant in our Childcare, through the elementary years, and finishing the 8th grade in middle school.

Academic Excellence

Students should be equipped with skills and knowledge to help them thrive in a complex and uncertain world. At Abundant Life Christian School, our academic programs prepare individual students for the next steps in their educational journey.

Learning needs to be challenging, but it also needs to be engaging. Our curriculum pushes our students to achieve greatness and helps them establish a growth mindset, preparing them for lifelong learning.

Our school has been granted foundational accreditation by the Association of Christian Schools International, ACSI signifying that institutional standards of quality and excellence have been met and denoting a commitment to both accountability and desired growth of the school.

Personal

Students learn best when they are engaged in learning that resonates with their personal experiences. Critical thinking plays a big role in the classroom and is encouraged, whether it’s a hypothesis in science class, a paper in world history, or a tough question about faith.

Class sizes are intentionally designed to allow teachers to assess and respond to each child’s distinct abilities and learning styles, while promoting healthy social interactions.

Community

At Abundant Life, we believe we have been created in the image of a relational God, thus the experiences of living in community and sharing life with others is an integral part of our school experience. Our culture promotes fellowship. It is a place where students, faculty, staff and parents come together to celebrate, have fun, and create lifelong memories. You see this lived out in a variety of ways including the school’s Back-to-School Bash, Grandparents' Day Celebrations, Christmas Programs, Spring ArtsFest, and Field Day.

Abundant Life Church

Abundant Life is not a covenant school; church attendance is not required to enroll at our school. For those who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, we welcome all to come and worship with us at Abundant Life on Sundays at 9:30am.
